23.12.04: At the beginning of December 2004 the members of the IYHF Board at its meeting in Cairo (Egypt) approved YHAR’s Associated Membership Status in the Federation.

25.11.04: From November, 19 till November, 21, 2004 in Bled (Slovenia) there held an AGM (Annual General Meeting) organized by the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) where representatives from the Central and East–European Youth Hostel Associations made their reports on the work of their Associations during the previous year.

27.10.04: From October, 21 till October, 25, 2004, in St. Petersburg (Russia) there held the Fourth Regional Central and East European Training Seminar organized by the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) on the topics: “History & Philosophy” and “Customer Care”.

07.09.04: The 45th International Conference of the IYHF took place in Seoul, South Korea, from the 19th to 23rd of July 2004.

28.04.04: From April, 23 till April, 25, 2004 in Tallinn (Estonia) there held the 2nd Baltic Regional Youth Hostel Conference.

22.03.04: From March, 18 till March 19, 2004 in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) there held the Training Seminar organized by the Youth Hostels Association of Russia (YHAR) for the staff members of the YHAR hostels.

26.01.04: From January, 18 till January, 23, 2004 Mr. Roger Parker CHARLES (IYHF Deputy Secretary General) and Mr. Goran Beus Richembergh (IYHF Central and East European Development Co-ordinator) came to Russia with the official visit.
