25.12.09: Saint-Petersburg Hostel “PILAU” (www.hostelpilau.com) is a winner of the Russian mini-hotel contest "Zolotoy Cluchik (“Golden Key”) – 2009" in the category "BUDGET CLASS" (HOSTEL).

14.04.09: On the 21st of March 2009 in Saint-Petersburg there was held an AGM (Annual General Meeting) of the YHAR's Members.

09.03.09: From the 27th of February till the 01st of March 2009 in the Conference Hall of the Moscow G&R Hostel Asia there was held the Training Seminar which was prepared and conducted by the official representative of the Hostelling International Mr. Goran Beus Richembergh who is Central and East European Development Co-ordinator. The Training Seminar was organized for the staff of all Hostels members of the Youth Hostels Association of Russia (YHAR).
